About the Camp

FashionCampNYC was founded ten years ago by a major brand fashion executive, a long-time camp director who has decades of experience working and mentoring young people.

FashionCampNYC has evolved over the years to meet the needs of tweens/teens and parents. But what has remained constant is:

  • Commitment to education and mentorship, while having fun!
  • Premier speakers and experiences. We find the best and brightest fashion professionals, who know how to keep your child engaged. We also plan trips, visits to companies, and experiences that you can only get in New York – and only from FashionCampNYC.
  • Safety and inclusion. Our leaders have a passion for fashion AND experience working with kids. Our senior management are all parents!

Like all camps, we have our traditions! These are some of the Campers’ faves, which we’ll be bringing back for this summer:

  • Trash Bag Challenge: Teams will design outfits with trash bags and odds and ends, culminating in a runway show!
  • Mannequin Mania: Campers will be encouraged to name and dress our “mascot” throughout the week.
  • Photo Showcase: We have our own step-and-repeat that Campers are encouraged to style themselves and each other and pose for pix and video all week long. It’s a great way to capture trends and memories.
  • New Location: We’ve moved to the heart of NYC’s Fashion/Garment District on Seventh Avenue/Fashion Avenue.
  • The Garment District is home to 2,500+ fashion industry businesses. We are now that much closer to experiencing fashion in the Big Apple.
  • Group Hotel Rates: Please let us know by May 1st if you’ll be coming with your family and we’ll do our best to secure discounts at convenient hotels.
